Geoff Findlay, PhD

Founding Club Advisor | gfindlay@holycross.edu

Professor Findlay is an evolutionary geneticist who has been teaching and conducting research with students at Holy Cross since 2013.  Originally from Seattle, he majored in Biology at Carleton College before receiving a PhD in Genome Sciences from the University of Washington and spending time as a postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University.  Professor Findlay is especially excited to work with XCHROM because of the outstanding mentoring he has received from so many women in science, ranging from his high school genetics teacher to his research advisor at Cornell.  In his spare time, he can be found cooking and trying new restaurants, rooting for Seattle-area sports teams, and marveling at how easy it is in New England to traverse multiple states in a single day.
